One Tribe Nation is a band that truly represents both the hidden beauty, cultural conflict, and multi-dimensional spirit of Los Angeles today. The group’s new self-titled record is an unflinchingly honest reflection of what it is like to live in City Of Angels at the dawn of this troubled new century, in the shadow of what will surely go down in history as a dark turbulent American decade. Stylistically the band is building on the retro- funk-rock energy of guitarist Michael Sanders’ critically acclaimed debut album “Servants Of A Lesser God”. Servant’s has been praised as a brilliant mix of unlikely souls brought together by the vision of Michael and producer Joshua Eagan. The record featured session players, and members from such artists as diverse as Santana, Pink, The Rolling Stones, and The Goo Goo Dolls. This time however, Michael has expanded this one time solo project into one of the most interesting and diverse collaborations that the LA scene has to offer. Opting for collaboration instead of absolute creative control has ironically made this new record more cohesive than Michael’s previous efforts, and is just one more advance in communicating his original vision of a single world community.
Michael is joined on this release by long time friend and collaborator Dave Filice on bass, multi talented singer Quetzal Guerrero, and ex Berklee instructor, David "Young Professor" Cowan on drums. With the new static lineup, and the guidance and wisdom of producer Chris Baseford, 2010 is shaping up to be a defining year for the concept of a One Tribe Nation
